Review content:
This 4 story bookstore specializes in Overstock books from publishers. That includes older editions of books that are still in print. They also had some vinyl records and other deals on media in the past.
You can save greatly by buying the older edition of a textbook at a reduced price. Halliwell's and other entertainment review books are as much as half price if you don't purchase the latest edition.
The selection seems to vary, so if you only go there once or twice a year you can find some completely different stock.
If you're a total geek, climb up to the 4th floor. It's dusty compared to the rest of the store but worth the trip. I've found greatly reduced deals on the 4th floor, which is where they carry slightly damaged or older books and neat posters they just didn't sell for as low as $1.00.
As an added surprise the store's cat hangs out on the stairwell. We love cats and find one in a bookstore to be purr..fect!
They have a website at http://www.mainbookshop.com
To avoid confusion, I want you to know that some people think this store deserves a 5. As a total geek I reserve a 5 for stores that carry a large stock of multi-lingual books, poltically hot books few to no stores carry, historical reference material that is hard to find and/or human rights and technology sections.
