Businiess name:  Chickamauga City Schools

Review content:
There's a reason that many people move to Chickamauga city limits. They want their kids to be allowed to attend these schools & get the great education it has to offer. It is one of the best. You can check out their national scores and see that they are on top for this area. Reading readiness is taught from very early childhood and there is the highest emphasis put on it. Teachers and principals in these schools really care about children and it shows. They are proud of their success and they have a reason to be. They are top notch. They have had this fine reputation for years. When my daughter first starting attending this school for Kindergarten and later 1st grade, she came home with homework, which at first surprised me with her being so young. Then I realized that they just wanted to ensure that the parents are involved in their children's learning and reinforce what they have learned. The homework wasn't excessive for their age. What they learn at school should carry over into home life so they can gain their parents support and help. If it means we as parents have to work a little harder for our children to gain a fine education, it is worth it. After all, we can't expect the teachers to do it all. Chickamauga Schools embrace this fact and encourage parents to be involved. They even encourage parents to come and eat with their children at lunchtime whenever they wish to, and volunteer in the classroom and for field trips. This hands-on parenting is a welcome and refreshing change from some schools I've seen that seem to push you out the door and don't encourage your involvement except when there's a problem. I never felt excluded with this school system. They also encourage a self-pride and high achievement in your child, that is difficult to find elsewhere. I can very highly recommend this school in every way. About the only problem I ever encountered, (and it's a minor one), is that the traffic/parking/pick up situation can get to be a bit of a bear.
