Review content:
The Salvation Army in Opelika is not up to the same level as any other I have ever been to. Looking for a cheap couch? Don't come here, every piece of furniture looks like it survived some sort of natural disaster during the seventies. Looking for a cheap shirt or something retro? They can't help you; most of the clothes should be donated to the homeless so they can burn them to stay warm. Want a cheap book? Well you have a large selection of 100 books to choose from featuring writers you have never heard of. Granted these are generalities, I am sure you can venture there and find a gem at any given time. But the majority of items offered is horrendous. The former location in Auburn which is now closed had a great selection of books, unfortunately these disappeared in the move or something. So if you are looking for a bargain I would recommend hitting some other similar establishments in the area or waiting for the weekend and hit the yard sales. To end on a positive note, the employees I spoke with were very polite.
