Review content:
I visit McLean often because I have family here. Located on busy Chain Bridge Road--watch out for it because you'll drive right by! Moorenko's is always included in my visits as I love their ice cream. They carry hard ice cream in delicious flavors. On a recent visit I had banana which was just like eating the real thing.
There are a number of favorites which are always available--vanilla bean, pistachio white chocolate, mint chocolate chip, heath bar, peppermint stick, cinnamon, cookie overload, blueberry and more adventurous flavors like cherries with the works and dulce de leche with pralines. Seasonal favorites include apricot, canteloup, peach melba, cranberry walnut, egg nog, fresh ginger, pumpkin and rice pudding. Moorenko's also makes delicious sorbets like blood orange, grapefruit campari, pomegranate, chocolate and lemon.
The ice cream is rich, satisfying and has a fresh taste to it. You can get cones, cups or dishes, sundaes, shakes. Take some home, too.
