Review content:
Our 2007 Chevy Trailblazer, purchased at Taconic Chevrolet, needed service in regard to violent shaking and vibrating upon applying the brake or driving above 40MPH. We brought the car to taconic Chevrolet service center, where we had purchased 3 Blazers in the past 4 years (4 overall). After 4 visits and 9 total days in the shop the service center was unable to diagnose the problem. After working with GM directly and getting nowhere, I decided I must take my own action on this situation. I brought the car to Sears where within 2 hours they discovered that, when Taconic Chevy replaced my defective uneven rotors they failed to replace the uneven pads. This as they said and many other mechanics have said is grade 1 mechanic knowledge. This service center replaced a tire, they balanced my tires, they replaced the defective rotors, however after 4 visits for the same problem. And after the car spent 4 consecutive days in their shop they could not diagnose this. Nor did they bring in someone once they could not figure out the problem. I have since paid Sears for the job, have lost much time with our so called new car, and have had many expenses related to borrowing another vehicle for my wife to get around in. GM never acknowledged that we had this inconvenience, instead basically blew us off when we called. So at this point Taconic Chevy has lost all future business from me and anyone I know. In addition instead of just fixing the problem (easy fix) and reimbursing me for a couple of hundred dollars to make this right they have decided they are justified in their decision making.
Needless to say I am now initiating a court case against them for all monies and time lost. And will continue to show anyone and everyone evidence (such as their service orders, the damaged parts as well as other mechanics orders) on this car. What a shame all I ever wanted was my car to run like a 1 year old vehicle should. Someone at GM is making some very poor business decisions
