Review content:
I just got back from a departmental lunch at Pappasitos Mexican Cantina. I've got to say, I adore the food here.
Starting with the warm salsa and the thinnest, crispiest chips ever! The salsa has fire roasted peppers and tomatoes in it and I could literally eat it with a spoon.
Today I had the half-order of fajita nachos. These were WONDERFUL - a thick layer of beans and lots of beef fajita meat topped with lots and lots of cheese. It's served with sides of guacamole, sour cream and both pickled and fresh jalapeno peppers. I could only eat five of them, but managed to eat the toppings off the balance of the chips.
The tortilla soup is to die for here! A HUGE bowl of spicy vegetable soup is filled with chunks of chicken and avocado (that costs $3.00 more tho) and covered with cheese and placed under the broiler til it melts. If I don't get the nachos, I get this soup.
Lunch is a bit pricey, with most entrees right around the $10.00 mark. Add a drink and tip, and you are at a $15.00 lunch.
But this time the boss paid. If I would have known that in advance, I would have ordered a more expensive entree!!!!
