Review content:
I was delighted to find Roux on Citysearch and have been there three times. Food is fabulous. Atmosphere is awesome. Some of the service could be better. The first time I went, with a reservation, I asked for a booth and was flatly told "no". The last time I went, we made a reservation and again asked for a booth. The hostess told us "you are lucky to get a table at all" because they were busy. Then, my mate was having a cigarette fit and asked the bartender if they had any behing the bar. She could have just said no or asked one of the staff, but instead looked at him with scorn for smoking and was rude. Fortunately, the waiter found him one so we didn't have to leave before dessert. My opinion is, if you are going to a service oriented business for a service, if you can't have what you want, they could change their script so it doesn't sound so unaccomodating and that they are actually happy to have your business. The food was great that night, but my guests will never go back because of the hostess that told them we were lucky to be seated after making a reservation hours in advance. I'll go back, but not on a busy night as it's clear they are stressed out by a full house.
Word of caution: If you want a booth, you need to specifically request one or you will never get one. They won't even let you wait for one.
Pros: Food, Ambiance
Cons: Parking, service
