Review content:
5 April 2005/ dining alone. i ordered the tasting menu plus wine accopompaniments. overall a very goog meal. i would have enjoyed my meal if it had arrived in a less-rushed manner. as a complete carnivore the dishes that won acclaim this evening were veggies: the cool asparagus soup was lovely and had all the the essence of fresh asparagus; the english pea ravioli was crisp, fresh, sweet and quite liht yet savory at the same tme. However, I was quite looking forward to the meat entrees. The tuna loin was a bit overpowered by the olive tapenade. The following course of beef tenderloin, grilled with hollandiase and aspargus was incredibly overcooked. the espresso pot de creme was ridiculouysly dense and lovely. The wine pairings were sub-par. For 45$ I would much rather order a great split than have the average, primarliy white-centric north american wines on offer.
Pros: great foodstuffs
Cons: short time btx course
