Ok.. I've lived here over 6 years now from the eastcoast. I love nice steakhouses, sushi joints, and sometimes the Hollywood scene, but really miss the old eastcoast comfortable places I can meet real/good friends for conversation and old laughs!!!!
Finally!!!! A friend told me about El Guapo. I'm in the advertising business, and a art director told me to go to the coolest, most casual place in LA. I trust her, so I went. OMG! We got there before sundown. It wasn't very busy, but we sat on the deck and talked for hours! Drinks were great and the bartender was so sweet! We actually called more of our friends to come down. It ended up being the most fun I've had out here since the MTV Awards 2003!!
The manager.. don't remember his name.. (bald, i think.. very cute) acutally bought us a round and made us feel like family!
Go! We are regulars now!
Pros: Drink prices, ambience
Cons: Always Casual!!
