A good mechanic is somewhat like a doctor or a lawyer. You don't really want to see them to often, but when you do, you want to make sure it's someone you trust.
Milito's Mobil in Lincoln Park is by far the best mechanic shop in town. I used to go to one of their competitors, but after discovering the price difference I quickly switched. What was an estimate for over $2000 ended up as a $500 job with Milito's. It's not only the price though. The turnaround time with these guys is amazing. They never go in and "FIND" something else that must be fixed without contacting you first.
Went today to get my car washed and for only $15 I had 4-5 guys work on it after it had gone through the machine.(Dirty car) Service all the way. The rest of Chicago has much to learn from these guys.
