Fortunately for me, the only department at DRMC that I had to visi was the maternity department. I had to vist the maternity department weekly during the last 10 weeks of my pregnancy and ever visit was a pleasant visit. When I finally was admitted to give birth to my daughter, all of the staff was very friendly and professional. The nurses provide great care and are very helpful. Kudos to the labor and delivery nurse that was by my side during her entire shift. Not having to deal with more than one nurse made my labor and subsequent birth of my daughter more relaxing. The fact that DRMC has one of the few NICU's in the region is a big factor when choosing a hospital to give birth at. Even if you don't need it, it is good to know that it is there. An extraordinary hospital for a extrordinary time in my life.
