Review content:
Prior to our last oil change, we always took our car to the Midas off business route 1. We felt we got fair prices and honest service for our vehicle. Oftentimes we'd take the car in to "check something" (a sound, a weird handling issue) and they would find nothing wrong at all. Sometimes they would find something and fix it at a fair price. They would check the car for no charge and do the work that was needed or send us home. Things were good.
The last routine oil change I took my car for took FOREVER. I was waiting for the vehicle and TWO HOURS later, my car was still not done, but the manager presented me with a 1400 dollar estimate. WHAT? I came in for an oil change and he said I needed new Struts, an fuel flush and some new sparkplugs or something. Fortunately I remembered that my husband had recently gotten the plugs replaced (by this location) so the whole thing sounded very fishy. When I asked them to look up our car's service record, they said that "they'd lost the records in a computer crash." Um, okay. FISHY!! I denied all the extra service and asked them to please complete the oil change. They then tried to talk me into delux oil, it was very disheartening.
Although we really enjoyed good service from Midas in the past, we will NOT be taking our car back to this Midas in the future.
