Businiess name:  Anthem Blue Cross And Blue Shield: Independent Authorized Agent John Thompson

Review content:
Life Insurance products were purchased from Mr. Thompson in 1996 and these products were kept until 2019 at which time it came to light those products were sold in a manner that was extremely unethical by withholding information pertinent to the transaction. This deliberate withholding of knowledge was an egregious lack of business morals and would have certainly kept me from purchasing these products at that time. After learning of this in early 2019, these products were moved to a new ‘agent of record” and termination of these products begun. While he was an agent of record, reviews of product performance were almost non-existent with the explanation provided was there was trouble locating my contact information even though all contact information was kept up to date on the products through the insurance company. One conclusion that can be drawn was for fear of the manner in which they were sold would eventually come to light. You would certainly hope this behavior isn’t a common business practice but unfortunately, all indications expressed to me by others suggest it is. As for the other agents in the office, I can not speak to their sales practices but from conversations have no reason to believe they engage in the same sales methods.
