Businiess name:  Florence Lake Ridge by Maronda Homes

Review content:
Two days after the hurricane passed, I had an unexpected visitor from Maronda (the superintendent). He said he had a complaint that I "dumped" my hurricane sandbags on the adjacent property. He first said he didn't know who was making the complaint, and then he said it was his boss. He said his boss was Billy Ford of Maronda. The sandbags were put there by me, 5 ft from my property line onto a vacant sandy lot. I had a friend coming to pick up the bags to keep in case of a future storm. I could have just emptied the bags of sand onto the sandy lot, but he wanted to pick up the full bags. I didn't leave them on the grass as I did not want to damage the grass, which is why the bags were 5 ft away on the sandy lot. The rep, who distanced himself by stating he was not with Maronda, was very rude and accusatory that I had just left, or dumped the bags there. He even thought he was smart by stating that those were the bags that were at the back of my house yesterday. Of course they were, and I told him that. He never asked if I could move them, nor did he even ask what I was going to do with them. When he "snuck" in that he had seen them at the back of my house, he assumed I was going to deny it. Of course I wasn't going to deny it. I had a friend coming to pick them up in 30 minutes. Simple solution....just ask. Don't try to accuse or scold your homeowners. Very rude....very unprofessional, and was handled totally inappropriately. This is why there are so many complaints about customer service with Maronda Homes. He walked away knowing they were wrong about the situation, and fortunately, the entire rude encounter , especially when he became rude, was all captured on my RING doorbell video. Thank you Maronda for validating the other complaints about your poor customer service. This is why these rating sites are so important. Buyers need to be aware of potential issues when dealing with sellers or companies. Thank you
