Review content:
Once you are lured to The Pointe by the attractive price, you are in for a rollercoaster ride of a resident experience . The staff is overworked, underpaid and physically and mentally taxed due to the greed of the ownership, C&K Multifamily. The most basic function of a place to live, the ability to sleep, is a moot ‘pointe’ due not only to the horrid condition of the concrete subfloors, which will greet you with endless nights at all hours of the sound of gravel being ground into sheet metal and wood, but the screening of tenants as well. You will be surrounded by a constantly revolving cast of loud partying college students, littering, arguing hood rats of every description, and other miscreants strategically placed for the torture of of quiet, working professional people. After you step over crushed Mcdonalds cups, Q-tips, Black and Mild cigarillo wrappers and unscooped dog feces to get to your apartment you will sigh in relief once you’ve reached your tiny foyer. Your children if you have them will initially be excited by the prospect of the swimming pool and playground, the latter of which is nice but the former rarely seems to be open on good swimming days (days on which lack of nightly sleep don’t have them too tired to swim that is) which will lead to their disappointment on a regular basis. Power bills general run very high, in the 150+ range in the summer due to the 1970’s-era central heat/air units which break 1-2 times per season running the poor overworked maintenance guys ragged. There’s an on-site laundry facility that accepts only quarter coins, but you may have to drive your washed clothes elsewhere due to the fact that the dryers are often allowed to run out of propane. All in all your experience at The Pointe will be a test of your stamina, patience and ability to endure. So hold on for the ride and buy some good eye cream.
