I made my first phone call to “My Little Westie” in February 2017. I explained to the person I now know as Kathryn that my husband and I lost our Westie of 17 years in August and he was more than a dog or pet he was our fur baby. Kathryn told me she had just bred her female and would be expecting puppies in a couple months. I got on the waiting list to be notified of their arrival. On April 19 I sent Kathryn a text message asking if the puppies had arrived…. no answer. Not until Sunday, May 7, I receive a message saying, “I have male Westie puppy available”, along with a picture of the babies sleeping which I appreciated. I asked when we could come see the puppy and when she wanted a deposit. Kathryn‘s text: “come now deposit now” I replied telling her that my husband works the DuPont shift and with his schedule, Friday was the only day we both had available. She texted back she was going out of town on Wednesday and she didn’t know when she would be returning. On Monday, May 8 I sent a text asking Kathryn to please let us know when she returned home. Her reply: Took deposit of puppy today. Seriously, not even 24 hours had passed before she sold the puppy we had our hearts set on. Such an inexcusable thing to do to.
