My daughter, Katheryne Austin, has been a patient at Kindred since February 17, 2017. She is receiving care for the following illness Guilliam Barre, Miller Fischer Syndome and cardiac arrest. The staff at Kindred are miracle workers; upon my daughter's area she could only lift her head. With the help from Occupational, Phyiscal, Respiratory, Speech therapy, doctors, nurses, CNA and house keepiing it has been three weeks and Katheryne can do the following: raise both arms, make a fist with both hands, do thumps up, point, wash her face with both hands and brush her teeth. She is able to kick and lift both legs. On March 16, 2017 she sat up for 1 minute and 30 seconds with no assist from physical therapy (but the therapists were on hand to make sure she would not get hurt) and she repeated the exercise three more times. Kindred Hospital is an amazing heath faculty and I have never seen a group of people work so well as the staff at this hospital. Thank you all for taking such good care of only child. Rita L. Morris
