RESPONSE FROM Benjamin Franklin Plumbing of Tyler, Texas:
Our technicians went out to the customer's residence to clear a line stoppage between the home and the septic tanks. Pricing was discussed and agreed to prior to any work being done. Customer was made aware that there would be no warranty due to roots in the sewer line. The customer called in to the office several days later and was very rude and cursed at the CSR on the phone asking why we didn't complete the job. We explained, again, that we cannot warranty a line stoppage when roots are present. We scheduled another date for our technicians to come back and discuss other options and waived the service fee to come back. When the dispatch manager called ahead to let the customer know we were on our way there was no answer. The dispatch manager called several times that day trying to reach someone without success. The job was completed and the invoice signed by the customer as work being completed to his satisfaction. Had the customer answered the phone or called back into the office we would have tried to resolve this issue.
