It has truly been everything I was hoping to accomplish for myself. My neck was what my main concern was. And I say "was" because it's back to the way I see myself in my own mind's eye, and it's only been a week, thanks to my Doctor really listening to what I wanted. With the help from the nurses and staff, I feel I had everything I needed to make sure things went well for me. I felt like before surgery I knew what to expect and what to expect for my recovery time. The first 3 day were rough, but I was totally prepared with my ice packs, medicine, and soft foods. I have had very little bruising, and the bruising that did occur is yellow and almost faded away already. All the nurses that helped me were amazing, and great with my husband too. They made sure he was totally prepared for what was about to happen. So one week down and I can't wait to see what the next couple of weeks will bring, but I have no doubt to will be thrilled!
