Review content:
I called to have a garbage disposal installed and the guts to a toilet. I was appalled at the quoted price. 168.00 to do the toilet and over 700.00 to install a garbage disposal and there was already one there. Getting someone out was fast same day service. I was told it would be 89.99 service call and if they completed the job that would be waived. Needless to say at those quotes I didn't have them do the work. So I got charged the 89.99 basically for them to tell me I couldn't afford their service. What a rip off. The tech said it would take him about one and half hours. That equates to around 400.00 an hr. And I had purchased the supplies. I'm a nurse I guess I went into the wrong profession. I was very disappointed and would not recommend this business.
RESPONSE FROM Arnold & Sons Plumbing Htg:
The actual truth in this situation is that the customer was given the option for installing her own garbage disposal that she bought for $300, and ANOTHER option for replacing the piping under the sink to include a strainer (essentially update the drain piping under the sink) for $421 which was not leaking at the time but did show visible signs of much age.
She was also given a third option for rebuilding her toilet with her parts that she bought, which we concurred were satisfactory quality. That was $168.
Kathy decided against doing anything as she stated. Kathy has a right to her opinion regarding costs, and we would like to refund her $89 if she would call into our office and ask for Mark. We would rather not charge you the trip fee if the service didn't meet your expectations.
