It really bothers me when adult politics and egos get in the way of kid sports. Refusing to allow a kid to even practice a different position when they ask because they are bored and tired of playing the same spot for 2 years is a sure way to burn them out of the sport completely. And then, not allowing parents to take pictures of their kid's game from one side of a field, even with a badge allowing them access is ridiculous. I'm a rule follower, but if the only justification of a rule is "it's always been that way", then it's time to revisit it. Rules should be purposeful and necessary, not arbitrary and useless. Then after the deplorable things that happened with refs last week (causing injuries and allowing massive unsportsmanlike behaviors), we are about done with this league. The sad part is, the boys love playing football (or they did, anyway).
