Businiess name:  Teriyaki Express

Review content:
Horrible...even by the abysmal standards of "mall food" Teriyaki Epress is bad. The food was laying out in unappetizing piles that looked like they had been sitting there for a while. The fact that there was no one in line during the lunch rush should have been my first clue that something wasn't quite right. I order the 2 Item Combo, typical for most Asian fast food joints. As usual I got half & half (chow mein and fried rice) I ordered something that looked like Orange Chicken, and what I was told was Teriyaki Chicken. Everyone loves Orange Chicken, just ask Panda Express. And the fact that Teriyaki is in the name of the restaurant to believe that it just might be their specialty....WRONG. Well the Orange Chicken wasn't too painful to eat. It wasn't great, but it didn't make me want to open my mouth and let it fall out....which brings me to the Teriyaki Chicken. Where do I even begin? Most Asian fast food restaurants try to save money by giving you chicken thighs instead of breasts. Usually, that's not a problem if the thighs are of good quality. Well...these thighs weren't. The first bite had me doubting that it was even chicken. It was dried out and overcooked. The thick, yet bland teriyaki sauce that the server ladled over it did not help. When the server poured it on the chicken it basically sat there. By the time I got back to the office, it had puddled underneath the chicken, leaving no evidence that it had ever even touched anything by the styrofoam container. Ugh The fried rice (served from a rice steamer?): bland. The chow mein: meh... Now I know most people don't review fast food and food courts, but I'm taking it upon myself to try to review the typical places anyone would eat, whether they are small hole-in-the-wall spots or 5 star restaurants. If you have any places to suggest or have a comment on my review, go ahead and let me know. You can write me at kodiak_j at yahoo. You can figure out the rest.
