I wanted to spend my birthday weekend in Des Moines because it is a good halfway point between my long distance boyfriend and I. We reserved a romantic room with a whirlpool tub and a king size bed. The room was very comfortable and everything was well cleaned. We had the continental breakfast in the hotel which had a make-your-own pancakes station, as well as a meat, buscuits and gravy, and eggs. There were also cereals and bagels to choose from. The hotel is also only 10 minutes away from the Zombie burger downtown and only a 20 minute drive to Jordan Creek. At night, the Baymont lights up the outside of the hotel with funky party lights. It also has a gorgeous double staircase in the lobby.
