Businiess name:  Dee's Doggie Den
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
When they were at their old location on Mockingbird, we were hesitant about leaving our dogs, but decided to try a short day stay even though we were uneasy about all the dogs standing around in the small space at the front.\r They separated our smaller dog from our larger dog and put him in a small open topped cage ""for his protection."" ??? (He weighs 35 lbs.) When we picked up the dogs, they were uncharacteristically nervous, and showed regression in training.\r We had not been back since then, and periodically read reviews of Dee's Doggie Den since they are close.\r Thank goodness I read the review about the diabetic dog that died there, and the horrible comment left by an employee, the one who injected the dog.\r I am so sorry for the owner of the dog and for the sweet dog that died BECAUSE OF THEIR CARE, (OR LACK OF CARE), whether the owner took the dog home or not. I've heard some negative things over the years, and wondered why they have so many positive reviews. I always try to give the benefit of doubt, but this information is enough for me.\r I'm also thankful for the f/u review that describes how the dog was probably administered the incorrect amount of insulin...if it was administered at all.\r In my opinion they are trying to run a VOLUME not QUALITY business and are only in it for the money, not for the love of our precious pets.\r I just wish I saw these reviews when they came out a couple of years ago. Thank goodness I know now!!!\r To Dee and her staff...taking care of any animal is a privilege and an honor, in my opinion, as important as if you take care of one of my children.\r You ought to post a public apology to this poor woman whether you feel you made a mistake or not. Not doing so, tells me more than anything about your lack of love for people and animals!!!\r Folks when you see a red flag, or have a poor gut feeling, for the sake of your precious charges, not to mention for yourself, please check it out. I wish I had sooner!!!
