Response from Kirk Rieger\r \r I'm sorry that marilynj had a bad experience with me. I don't know exactly who marilynj is because she didn't reveal her full name. \r At the end of the tax interview, I always go over the tax return with the client to make sure we have included everything. This client stated that she thought it took too long. It is more than likely that she never really reviewed the return and listened only for the refund amount. The review is supposed to be a collaboration.\r In most of the instances where the IRS claims the taxpayer has additional income not on the return, it is because the client either accidentally or not, didn't bring all documents to the interview or possibly filed their return before they had received all there documents. I have no way of knowing either of those things.\r In the end, however, the client got the refund they were entitled to and paid no fine or interest (would have been covered by H & R Block).
