Review content:
We've been taking our cars to Chuck's for the past 20 years. Initially, our choice was based on convenience, as we live near the shop and Chuck has always been happy to drive us home when we drop off a car. Our choice was also based on the recommendation of our trusted mechanic when we lived in Mt. Lebanon, who said Chuck was reliable, skilled and cost effective. Our experience with Chuck and his staff has been fantastic. They've won our business, and I'm a very critical customer. Unlike other shops, they're focused on fixing and maintaining our cars in the most cost effective manner as opposed to selling us services or parts we really don't need. Even better, they're creative and committed to solutions that "fix" rather than "replace" when it's more cost effective. Speaking of customer focus, they audit their own invoices and billing. A few years ago, I paid a bill, picked up my car and drove off without reviewing the bill in detail. The next day, I got a call from Chuck. His wife, Lynn, routinely audits their invoices and discovers that I had been charged $90 for a $9 part, by mistake. Chuck corrected the invoice and gave us a credit. They're also happy to install tires purchased elsewhere, even though they make no money selling them. Truly professional, in my opinion. Doug, Dave, Ed and Mike have always been happy to help us immediately in emergency situations. They always present alternative solutions to problems and ask for our approval before proceeding with expensive repairs. They also encourage us to spend a little money on sanctioned maintenance to avoid major repairs in the future. I'm sure there are other highly qualified mechanics in the area, but we've had a great experience with Chuck's team for enough years to confirm that he's dedicated to exceptional customer service delivered by truly pleasant and friendly professionals.
