I have been going to Ashby ever since I moved here in 1985. In '86 they saved my dog that had little hope after a run-in with a car. They even called him the 'Wonder Dog' for years as they didn't think he would make it. Just last week I lost another dog due to an irreversible heart condition. They did everything they could to treat but helped me draw the line at costly, unnecessary treatment, just to get the same outcome. I appreciated that deeply. I have never met a doctor, for myself, or my animals, with more compassion than Dr. Lisa May. Also the assistants and the other Doc's as well. The only thing I can tell one facing cremation: they outsource that service and their costs they quoted me are about 1/3 to 1/2 MORE than another vet I contacted. I plan to speak to them about this 'fluke' in their services. Otherwise, they are the best, and will not order lots of things you may not need. Painfully honest at times, but HONEST! Gotta love that in this day and age.
