I have rented in the Post Falls for 12 years with many positive experiences. However, my experience with PMIG over the last two years has been awful! I felt harassed from day 1!!! I was smart to be thorough in my initial walk through, to take many pics, and to retain a copy of all documents. I had to continually prove that existing damage when we moved in was not our responsibility to fix. On several occasions I was notified of fines due because of damage. I would then have to go down to the office and show them my initial walk through sheet and accompanying photos. I was also notified that they required a $150 fine because I had an unapproved pet on the premises, which was resolved when I went down to the office with my copy of the pet agreement signed by all parties and the receipt for the pet deposit that I had paid upon lease signing. Also 15 days prior to the renewal of my lease after yr 1, I was told that they were raising my rent by $300 dollars a month. I told them that I would not be renewing my lease and would put in my 30 day notice as soon as I found a new place. PMIG then informed me that to go month to month without a lease they would charge triple the rent per month until we vacated the premises. Because I could not afford to pay that amount I was forced to sign the new 1 year lease and began to prepare to move the following year after paying 12 months at the hiked up rate. I have recently moved into a new rental through a different property management company. I am now battling with PMIG about a new bill they have sent out trying to charge me for damage that was clearly listed on my initial walk through sheet. I went down to discuss this with PMIG at the office in Post Falls and was treated like a criminal by a women that looked like she was smelling onions or examining a hideous bug the whole time we talked. My experience with PMIG was stressful and frustrating!!! Any home owners doing business with them should know that they are unscrupulous!! As for renters....Run Away!!!
