For years we have purchased all our appliances from olums as they have had reliable service, but no more. When our may tag refrigerator water/ice control stopped working we called olums for service and indicated the control board was bad. They would not get the part though until the issue was confirmed by the repair tech, so an appointment for service was scheduled. It took ten seconds for the tech to reach the same conclusion we had provided in advance. The tech then said that may tag had discontinued the part just this month and he would need to check with the distibutor and may tag on Monday. He then requested his service fee, which I paid and indicated that so far I had not received ny service and if it was not fixed I wanted my money back. The tech was here well less than 5 minutes. We received a call later that day that olums would take care of locating the part and would fix the issue. Today though their position has changed as their normal distributor does not have the part and while I can search and locate a replacement that they would be happy to charge me to install, they are done. I'm sure they'd love to sell me a new French door refridgerator so we can get filtered water and ice, but that is not what I will be doing. And when the day does come to buy a new appliance, it will not be from olums
