Review content:
I printed a coupon off of ValPak.com for $29.99 Meguiars Hand Wax Car Wash Coupon at Crown Valley Auto Spa in Laguna Niguel. I also printed a second coupon for $9.99 Hand Car Wash Coupon at Crown Valley Auto Spa. The second coupon mentioned "Larger Vehicles + Condition of Vehicles maybe priced higher." The first coupon for 3 times the amount, did not have any such language. I drive 8 miles to the location, waited 10 minutes for an attendant (Soca), and presented my coupon. Soca indicated my car was considered a larger vehicle and that he would be charging me an additional $5.00 for the service. He repeatedly said this was a discount from the regular price of $10 for large vehicles. I showed him both coupons and pointed out the coupon I was using did not have any language stating I would be charged more for a larger vehicle. He insisted I pay the higher price. I asked for a manager. He said he was the manager. I left, called the store, and asked for the owner. The clerk set the phone down, spoke with someone, then hung up. I called back several times and got a fax machine. Crown Valley Auto Spa's deceptive advertising practice through ValPak.com is the very definition of bait and switch. I fully intend to share my concerns with the appropriate regulating agency.
