Review content:
I was so excited when I heard that my grandma was moving to Salida Woods. I occasionally drive pass the building and it is absolutely beautiful, especially compared to other assisted living facilities I have seen or visited. However, as cliche as it may sound, looks were definitely deceiving. When I first entered into the building, though the interior was nice, I couldn't believe the amount of wheel chairs, especially ones with table top constraints. I'm not exactly sure what assisted living entales, but I always believed it to be a little more independent. My grandma's room was an ok size, but it smelled and the trash was overflowing. This really upset me and I know my grandma was embarrassed. I spoke with several of the patients and none were thrilled with the establishment or how they were treated. All in all, be careful where you choose to send your mother or father. I love my grandma but unfortunately have no say in where she lives.
