Review content:
They put me into a life threatening situation: \r \r I had made a reservation with the Best Western Caprock Inn in Brownfield, Texas. They advertise themselves as ""small town with a friendly family atmosphere."" The Karmazov family, maybe. \r \r There was a mixup with my reservation. I had made the reservation to book a room on Feb 6. But they had me down as arriving the 4th and checking out the 5th. Even though they *had vacant rooms* both the 4th and tonight, they charged my credit card on the 4th and refused to give me a room on the 6th. They had charged my credit card the full amount of the room and yet left me out on the highway with no place to stay! \r \r I explained that I had a budget for my trip and had not counted on paying for a room twice; and furthermore that I had to cancel my credit card the day before, because someone had made unauthorized use of it. Therefore, if they would not provide the room I had already paid for, I would have to drive all night until I got home to San Antonio (and risk falling asleep at the wheel), or sleep in my truck by the side of the highway. \r \r Even though they had taken my money, they couldn't care less what happened to me! When I talked to Best Western customer service, they said they were sorry, but they had no control over what individual motel owners decide to do. Really?? I thought on of the benefits of staying at a Best Western was that you could count on a minimum standard of service and consideration. I don't usually stay in Best Western motels, as I prefer suites, but I thought I'd give them a try this time. Big mistake! If I could give them a negative rating, I would.
