Based on some great reviews, I chose Lightning Van Lines for a cross country move. Unfortunately, my experience was HORRIFIC. \r

The movers were incredibly unprofessional. Lightning HELD MY GOODS HOSTAGE, insisting I pay way more than the 110% of the estimate allowed by law before releasing them...And to make matters worse, they DESTROYED my furniture and other possessions. Half the boxes were SOAKING WET from water damage. \r

And while they promised to compensate me for the damage, I'm in a Kafkaesque Catch-22 situation to get them to actually pay up. AVOID.
