Had slow drip coming from my side of the water meter under the man hole cover out at my front sidewalk. Called Rescue Rooter. First thing that isn't good is they send an estimator out to 'estimate' your job, then he will send a actual plumber later. The leak was coming from the PVC pipe connector. The Rescue Rooter 'estimator' told me that they wouldn't be able to get their saws-all cutter in to that tight of a space to cut off the bad connector. He said they would have to jack-hammer out the sidewalk in order to have enough room to fix the leak, and then would have to replace the sidewalk. He estimated the job to be almost $1300.
I called Classic plumbing, and they sent an actual plumber. He looked at my leak, got on his stomach, cut the connector off with his little string saw, replaced the connector, and the leak was fixed. This was all done for the price of a service call - $105.
So in other words Rescue Rooter is a HUGE rip-off joint that is trying to scam the most money out of people as possible. Definitely do not ever consider using Rescue Rooter. It could cost you 13 times as much as it should.Rooter. It could cost 13 times as mu
