I accepted a quote from Ryan at Granite-4-less (which was the cheapest of 5 companies) on behalf of my Sister. I am an Architect and designed a kitchen remodel for her. The signed quote indicated to use 2CM granite with 3/4" marine-grade plywood substrate and a 3/4" radius bullnose. I also sent Ryan section details of the countertop design so there was no confusion whatsoever. After install, my Sister noted there was no plywood substrate (this was designed to support the granite slab over the 12" deep bar overhang and make a thicker 3/4"R or 1-1/2" overall bullnose edge). Ryan completely ignored the signed quote & details, used 3CM granite without plywood and a small 1/2"R with flat bottom edge bullnose. When questioned why, he responded by saying my Sister requested it that way (she did not). After multiple email communications trying to get a compromised fix, he ignored me. Unless you are okay with a Contractor ignoring you and installing what he wants, DO NOT USE GRANITE-4-LESS.
