I took my car in for shot of freon for the A/C. They claimed I needed a new compressor/clutch, manifold, and accumulator... $1,600! I told them just to fill it with freon and I would drive it as long as I could.\r

MY A/C DIDN'T WORK WHEN I GOT IT BACK FROM THEM.\r

I took it to another Edmond mechanic who found the REAL problem. A leaky valve was causing the freon to escape. He replaced the valve, filled it up, and it works fine now! The mechanic also told me they wanted too much for the repair, even if that had been the problem.\r

I spoke with the service manager who refused to explain how they said my A/C needed to be replaced. He didn't even apologize. Ultimately, I got a refund for the work they did do, but I wonder how many other people would not or did not take the time to get a 2nd opinion and got scammed.\r
