I am new to Denver and needed a new doctor. I saw Michael, PA. He was amazing and very knowledgeable. Two months later, my insurance stopped covering my birth control. My insurance wanted me to switch to a different brand. So I had my pharmacy call to get a new script. This was on a Friday so I also called the doctors office to make sure the script would be called in by the end of the day. I was assured by the front desk that it would be. My boyfriend went to pick up my birth control while I was at work Friday afternoon. The script had not been sent in. On my break, I called my doctor but it was after hours so I was transferred to an after hours answering service. I talked to the poor woman, who sadly got the brunt of my anger, and there was nothing she could do for me. The office does not take prescription requests after hours and they are not open on weekends. I could not have a doctor paged to get this all figured out. So now my hormones are all out of whack and I have to use a condom for the next month. This is just an annoying inconvenience but what if this happened and I needed heart or diabetic medication! I am never going back there again and it is completely because of the front desk.
