Before I went into Serenity Acres I thought that I had dealt with the experiences from my past. I thought I had moved on, and that my drug and alcohol use was my way of ‘handling” my problems. It was only during my stay at Serenity Acres that I was able to discuss and interpret these experiences and feelings. The experience with my counselor was extremely positive and critical to my growth
