Review content:
I've lived at Portola Place for nearly 5 years, and for the most part really enjoyed living there. Unfortunately, my tune has recently changed.
There is a neighbor who is so literally trashy, they consistently leave trash bags and other rubbish outside their door for months on end. They slam doors constantly and have knock down, drag out fights with their multiple children at all hours of the day. The parents will have screaming fights between themselves at the top of their lungs at all hours of the night and early morning.
Despite multiple calls and conversations with the leasing office, and multiple neighbors having moved out, leaving a wake of empty apartments surrounding the offending apartment, Portola Place has not enforced any community guidelines on the Trash family.
The last straw is that the Trash family has installed a basketball hoop on their balcony, having thought it a great idea for their young and unsupervised children to play basketball from inside of an apartment. I spoke with the office, and they revealed that numerous complaints regarding the Trash family and their Trash children playing basketball had already come in. Portola Place then gave me the following instruction:
"Please call the Irvine police whenever the family is noisy. Maybe if the police come often enough, the family will stop being so loud."
The moral of the story is: The Irvine Company will instruct you to call the Irvine Police to enforce the Irvine Company's community guidelines. Good luck.
