Review content:
I have had my taxes prepared at h&r block in Canonsburg, PA for the last several years. I will definitely not be giving them my money in the future. I received a letter from the IRS stating that I did not turn in a form with my 2012 taxes and I owed $1043. My fiancé took the letter to the office I had my taxes done at and showed it to one of the employees there. The employee pulled out that specific return and stated that they didn't have a copy of the form either. My fiancée then went home and pulled out my paperwork and low and behold the first form that was stapled on top was the form in question. She called the local office and was told that because the ""piece of mind"" was not purchased the only thing they can do is refund the preparation fee and the interest that the IRS is charging. I called the main customer service line and filed a complaint, expecting to get some satisfaction on an issue that clearly was not my fault. Again I was given the speech about the ""piece of mind"". Why should I pay several hundred dollars to have my taxes prepared, provide all of the necessary paperwork and then have to pay for ""piece of mind"". Shouldn't a company hire competent employees? Shouldn't a company be responsible for their employees negligence? Not according to H&R Block!! I now have to set up payment arrangement with the IRS because their employee couldn't be bothered to do his job. As I said at the beginning of this review, this company will not get another dollar from me.
