We recently had 9 windows installed and we are so disappointed with the installation and the quality of the windows. We had problems since day one, many problems, probably can't list them all but the first day one of the windows didn't fit probably (they tried to pound it in with a hammer and only after my husband put a level on the window to show them how uneven it was) did they agree to replace the window and a screen was ripped as well. We had several drafts coming in around the trim where it wasn't insulated properly, plugs were missing, they needed to add much more caulk around the windows and I also have a window sill that is peeling due to no proper primer so the top coat is peeled and chipped. They came out today and said that the window sill/frame must never get wet or that will happen. I've had wooded windows before and that has never happened. Also a frame wasn't finished properly and they came out here and said they would replace it without any problems and then the salesman called 2 days a later and said to wait a year, if it's not better to let them know. I have no idea how the frame would have corrected itself. This is not a company I would recommend. We paid over $6000.00 for these windows and feel we over paid and got poor quality windows, with poor quality installation and service. Once again would never recommend this company and I hope we can get this problem resolved but they pretty much walked away today saying they will contact the manufacturer. They had 2 teams of installers, one for the upstairs and one for the downstairs, the downstairs windows are fine, so we asked that they re install the upstairs windows and they said no. Hate to see anyone go through the stress and aggravation that we are experiencing. The owner of the company hangs up (I think he's the owner) if I call because he said I threatened him by telling I'm going to report this on Angie's list so he refuses to speak to me. Buyer beware, dealt with several home improvement companies (at least 3 companies) before and never experienced anything like this.
