Review content:
I drove the car to Iowa City and back yesteday. The front end was behaving perfectly - none of the "drift" that had been concerning us on recent trips. The new tires appear to have completely solved the problem. The only critique would be that when I first brought our car in at around 10:30 AM Thursday (after calling and being told to bring it in), the guy at the desk told me it would take about an hour for their front end man to check it out. They asked if I would like to wait, but I had a busy schedule, so I chose to walk home and get things done while waiting. It was raining, but only about a 10 minute walk, and I had my umbrella. At home, we were in and out all day, and thought we must have missed your call, so we called back mid-afternoon to find out what had been discovered. At that time, your front end guy still had not looked at our car, but the person on the phone assured us it was next on his agenda. The problem was identified and the tires replaced very near the end of your work day. I needed to have the car overnight and there wasn't time for me to walk there before your closing time, so you very kindly sent someone to pick me up. I then had to bring the car back Friday morning for the front end allignment to be checked. I needed the car all day on Friday, so this time I chose to wait, and brought something to do while waiting. Everyone was nice and friendly at every stage of the game, but I suspect that if I had chosen to wait the first time I brought the car in, your front end man would have looked at it more promptly, and the entire solution of replacing the two front tires and checking the allignment (which turned out not to need adjusting) would have been completed on Thursday. (Lesson learned: the squeaky wheel gets the grease. I will remember this the next time we need your services.)
