BEWARE of this vet, if your pet needs something simple like annual shots and will never get seriously ill while in his care then Dr. Arnone is good for the simple things any vet can do, but if your pet is sick this vet is one of the worst vets you can go to. He treated my cat, wrong treatment plan, wrong meds, botched procedure, afterward in the middle of the night I had to rush to the emergency clinic, found out there that he treated my cat incorrectly causing my cat to be in agony, inserting a urinary catheter not once but twice incorrectly that I was told was likley to short to even reach his bladder causing a serious infection and painful agony, he had to stay in the UF emergency clinic for days but in the end the infection was so serious he died! If I wouldn't have tried to save a very few bucks and went to a good vet I feel my cat would be alive today, I will always live with that guilt, don't make the same mistake. Dr, Arnone apologized to me for what happen to my cat because of his care, he said he learned from his multiple mistakes and would be doing things different from now on, who cares I say, my cats dead. He had a urinary blockage and might be alive today in my opinion and in the opinion of the UF vet if I would have taken him to a vet that knew what he was doing. I reported and filed a complaint with the Marion County Veterinary Medical association where they determined he needed some re-education and gave him many consequence's due to my case including that when any pet with this type of urinary problem comes into his care he has to submit the case to another assigned vet who has to consult, oversea and approve of his treatment plan to insure he doesn't make the same mistakes again. I am just talking about the tip of the ice burg here, he made multiple mistakes admittedly and proven by investigation, didn't keep sufficient records, told me he did diagnostic tests which he said was how he determined the treatment plan, it was prov-en that he lied to me, told me his diagnoses was based on his complete urinalysis he preformed and in fact he did NO test at all but told me he did, so did my cat need the type of treatment he prescribed or not, I will never know. With all that said it is still just the tip of the ice burge, there was so many other things he did wrong that this review could go on for pages. After all this, I have no satisfaction because he was penalized, or because he finally admitted it to me after getting backed into a corner all his regrets associated with my case, or after he paid my UF emergency care and hospitalization bill as if that would make up for the loss of my cat, all I have is regret and more regret about putting my loved baby in his care who is now dead. Go anywhere and to any other vet but never make my mistake by ever going to DR. Arnone, in my educated opinion he is a sub-par vet with anxiety issues and has no clue what he is doing, not only will you pay the price for this but so will your pet in the end. This all happened in 2013.
