Review content:
Been kickboxing at Ilovekickoxing in Johnston RI for about four months now, and let me tell you I thought I was in at least decent shape. Wrong! That first day at Ilovekickboxing, I struggled to do a single push-up, (I managed a grand total of … three that day) I mentally felt like a failure and my whole body felt like I had been beaten by the Hulk and then hit by a Mack truck. I honestly couldn’t walk right for a week and I kept asking myself, “what have you gotten yourself into now?!?” The trainers at Ilovekickboxing in Johnston saved my life. They encouraged me to keep going and not to give up on myself; they told me what to eat to feed my “growing” muscles and eventually I started to see some results. I pushed myself every class till I felt the burn and then (attempted) to push some more. And now I can proudly say, in four months, I can do multiple push-ups, and not the girlie ones either I mean the legit ones. My bicep muscles are no longer going in the wrong direction! And I feel absolutely amazing. I have gained so much confidence it’s ridiculous. My next challenge is the Tai Kick because apparently I have a zero in the balance department. And honestly who knows what after that. Every class offers something different and the environment is so upbeat that you actually forget that you are working out. It’s a judgment free zone, where everyone makes you feel welcome. Every class is like a big family reunion (that you actually WANT to attend) and I can’t help but smile every time I walk through those doors. I see myself being here for years and I can’t thank the trainers: Mike, Lexii, and Samantha, enough for encouraging me to keep going. Best decision I have ever made!
