Review content:
After calling and verifying that there was no service charge and they had parts for my furnace, I asked Campbell's to send a technician. After an hour of troubleshooting, the tech handed me an estimate for almost $700. He said that he didn't know if it was the gas valve, or the PC board but he would replace the board and if the gas valve caused the PC board to fail, that the PC board was under warranty and he would replace it. He also charged me a $69 service fee and said I should replace the whole 8 year old system for $2700.\r \r He also told me they did not have the PC board in stock and it would take 1-2 days to get one. After telling him I had not had heat in a few days and would find someone else. He said he would make another call and try and locate the part. He then said he found one and could install it the next day which didn't sound honest.\r \r I was charged a service fee, and they did not have the part in stock. This is a classic bait-and-switch technique used by dishonorable companies.\r \r I called in the morning and cancelled the service and called another service who said the gas valve was bad, replaced it with one they stocked the same day for a fraction of the cost.\r \r It is unfortunate that companies like this prey on people's need, and lack of knowledge. I would not recommend Campbell Appliance to anyone!
