Our son has attended Dogwood Hills Academy over a year, beginning at age 1. As a parent, sending your child to daycare is one of the most difficult decisions you can make and after quite a bit of research and touring, we chose DHA. In the beginning, safety, cleanliness and love were the top priorities as we began our search. Dogwood Hills gets 5 stars in all of these areas.
When you walk into Dogwood Hills the air is fresh and clean (which is unusual for a building FULL of kids.) The security system has always worked, there is always someone at the front to greet you and they are on a first name basis with all of the parents AND children. The equipment in and outside of the rooms is top notch. Everything looks and feels clean and secure and the staff is ALWAYS warm and friendly. As we walk the halls to class, teachers from other classes always stop to say hello, which adds to the atmosphere that makes DHA what it is.
As my son has progressed through the classrooms, we have found quite a bit of activity and learning. He comes home with artwork and activities and always has something new to share. The active calendar of DHA always keeps the children busy and engaged. The activities are ALWAYS fun and creative, adding to the overall experience.
While most children dread going to school and being left...my son LOVES going, playing with friends and ALWAYS has a smile on his face when he leaves. Most importantly, I feel comfortable leaving him, knowing that he will be safe and cared for while I'm working. Having this confidence in your childcare provider is CRITICAL. I would absolutely recommend DHA to anyone who asks me.
