Review content:
We chose the Hudson Grill for our Valentines meal and have come to regret our decision. This is about the 5th or 6th time we've eaten here and all our other experiences have been quite good, but Valentines '08 was a mess. We made reservations well in advance, but they were not ready for us and we waited 25 minutes before being seated. We started with the calamari and some drinks from the bar. The lemon drop was a little weak (lacking flavour not alcohol), the beer, on tap, was fine. The calamari was very greasy and had an annoying amount of fried peppers and onions. about 50% of the dish was actually calamari and as fried in too low a temp and came out overly greasy. We had the baby lettuce salads and WOW the dressing was ""you have go to be kidding"" too vinegary and overwhelming. Our entrees were the lobster ravioli and prime rib. The ravioli came in a sauce with a clam chowdery soup like consistency and the prime rib was straight out of Home Town Buffet. The one shining moment was our bottle of wine, which was deep, complex and very satisfying... and only cost me a $10 cork fee - (yeah we brought our own wine to dinner).\r
