I cant recommend Winkler to anyone looking for apartments in Boone. As a panicked freshman who lost the on-campus housing lotto, I rented from them. \r \r First off, just a small thing. At my apartment, mini-blinds were said to be included. Nopeeee. Apparently, they're included...IF the last person leaves you a set? Sneaky. Plan on buying your own window coverings.\r \r At my apartment at least, they send a maintenance man around about once a month to check things like "suspected leaky toilets" and to "repair built-in TV stands" (P.S. we dont even HAVE built in TV stands). Anything that requires he goes into ALL the rooms. Basically, he checks in all the rooms to make sure you're not hiding anything. \r \r The rent is AWEFUL. They will take ANY chance to charge you for overages. We get overages every. single. month, even though we keep the thermostat at a reasonable level, and keep off the lights we aren't using. The strange thing is, we get charged overages even during m
