We stayed at the Rodeway Inn Westminster again (we are repeat customers), this time to attend the funeral of a family member in Leominster. Since our last stay, just 6 weeks earlier, the motel has been renovated. The room was freshly painted, and the bathroom had new linoleum floor and new grout along the bathtub. The only change I'm not too thrilled about is that even though there is a full bath there is no way to plug the drain in order to take a bath (so you are forced into taking a shower instead of a bath). By the way, hot water comes right away. The beds are still reasonably comfortable, and the room was clean. Other recent improvements are the shampoo and bars of soap (much larger size than was previously the case). The managers are a pleasant couple, who I've found helpful in the past, and our 7 AM wake-up call was only a few minutes late. The motel is a pet friendly property with a very modest fee of $5 per night for having a pet in the room. As the property is set well back from Route 2A, it is a quiet place to spend the night. For breakfast, try the Westminster Coffee Shop down the road, especially if you like pancakes (the motel serves coffee in the lobby in the AM, but since neither of us drink coffee, we can't comment on it)!
