Review content:
I took my car to Audi Dallas on Lemmon Ave., Dallas, TX on 3-6-2012 for an oil change. I had been sent a ""we want you back"" offer, so being the loyal Audi customer that I am scheduled an appointment with the service department. I was to drop my car off, and pick up a loaner while they changed my oil, replaced my windshield wiper blades, repaired the driver's seat back panel that had come unglued, and the knob that makes the passenger seat rise up and down. \r \r I arrived on time and was told to take a seat. The service person asks me to sign off on $359 estimate for these items, and that they would call me before repairing anything over the $359. I was shocked at the estimate for $109 oil change, and $149 retainer for the service tech to even look at my passenger seat. Then they told me if the seat issue was not under my extended warranty they would call to let me know how much more I would need to pay. Reluctantly, I signed off on the work order, hoping the passenger seat issue would be under my extended warranty. \r \r The KICKER was when I went to get my loaner car, the dealership form for the loaner car requires you to agree that if you ""damage"" their loaner car, whether or not it is even your fault, that you will pay the dealership Audi Dallas your deductible, which for me is $500, otherwise the dealership will hold your car hostage until you hand them over your insurance deductible. I told them that I was fully insured as they could see on my insurance certificate and that if I ""damaged"" their loaner car; our insurance companies would work it out between themselves. I called State Farm, my insurance company and they told me that they would be happy to speak to the dealership and explain to them how the process worked, which did NOT include paying Audi Dallas directly my deductible. I would pay whatever party State Farm decided I should pay for repairs, if the ""damage"" was even my fault.\r \r In the past I have never been asked to agree to this insurance procedure at this dealership, and immediately a red flag went off. It occurred to me that just dropping my car off at Audi Dallas for an oil change could potentially, at the minimum, cost me $859 before I could get my car back. After an hour long conversation with the Audi Dallas service manager, I requested my car be brought back to me, that I was not going to leave it with them for service.\r \r AUDI DALLAS IS A SHADY DEALERSHIP. Up until a few years ago, before ownership changed from University Park Audi to Audi Dallas, service was always a very pleasant experience. This entire situation was bad business, from the repair estimate to the loaner car experience. I will never take my Audi back to this dealership, and I would advise anyone else to seek other service repair options before leaving your car with Dallas Audi.\r
